Restaurants in historic buildings, chefs culled from Tokyo, a thriving art scene—Oceanside remains one of San Diego's most creative corners

A building designed by Irving Gill, once home to Oceanside’s Blade Tribune newspaper, will come back to life as an Italian restaurant led by former BiCE chef-owner Mario Cassineri and Caffe Calabria’s John Carlo Ferraiuolo. The menu will include Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas, pastas, Italian beer, wines, and more.
